How Funding Works?
You will receive a personalised budget based on your assessed needs. You can use this budget to choose services and providers that best suit your lifestyle and preferences. The system is designed to be more transparent, meaning you’ll see exactly how your budget is used.
How You Pay?
Most people will contribute to the cost of their services through a co-payment, based on their financial situation. Here’s how it works:
- Co-payments are set by the Government, not your provider.
- Your contribution depends on factors such as your income and pension status.
- If you receive a full Age Pension, your co-payment will generally be lower.
- No one will be denied essential care because of an inability to pay.
Your provider will always explain fees clearly so you understand what you’re paying for and how it fits within your budget.
